Mole Valley Netball Club
Netball

Welcome to Mole Valley and Effingham Junior Netball Club, Surrey, UK.

We are a friendly club for young netballers from school years 5 to 11 and have a membership of approximately 140. We train weekly on Sunday mornings at Howard of Effingham School in Effingham and play in a number of local junior leagues.

HIGH FIVES TASTER SESSION (Posted 09 Feb 2012)

All girls in years 3, 4, or 5 in the district are invited to a special 'taster' netball session, hosted by Mole Valley Netball Club. The session is scheduled to take place between 10:30 and 11:30 on 11th March 2012, at the Howard of Effingham School. Beth and her coaches have more details (go to the contacts page), or the poster can be downloaded here.

NONSUCH LEAGUE POSTPONED (Posted 03 Feb 2012)

The poor weather conditions have forced the postponement of the latest round of fixtures in the Nonsuch league, scheduled for 4th February 2012.

FETCHAM HAWKS (Posted 31 Jan 2011)

The MVNC senior girls have chosen 'Fetcham Hawks' as the name for the club when it becomes the junior section of Fetcham netball club next season. The hawk nickname was picked to represent the speed and determination that will be the hallmark of the Fetcham junior teams. A competition is taking place to design a logo for the new Fetcham uniforms. The logo should be in a single colour, and should incorporate a hawk, or something to do with netball or both. Competition entries should be handed to any of the coaches.

MOLE VALLEY PIPPED BY SINGLE POINT (Posted 22 Jan 2012)

The under 16 Surrey League side were unlucky to slip to defeat by a single point, losing to Oxshott by 10 points to 11 at Surrey Sports Park. The match report is here.

ANOTHER WIN FOR UNDER 15s (Posted 11 Dec 2011)

The under 15 Mole Valley side continued on its winning way with a convincing 20 points to 7 victory over Whitton. The girls are still unbeaten in the Nonsuch league, and are third in the league table with a game in hand on the leaders.

MOLE VALLEY WIN TWO AT NONSUCH (Posted 10 Nov 2011)

The under 15s have made a tremendous start in the Nonsuch League, winning a thriller against Dorking before dominating Didasko. Played two, won two. The match report is here.

FETCHING IN FETCHAM BLUE (Posted 27 Oct 2011)

Next season, MVNC will become the junior section of Fetcham netball club. In order to unitfy the clubs, we are sourcing blue netball dresses for our senior girls. As soon as the dresses arrive, years 10 and 11 will play in the new kit. Years 5 to 9 will continue to play in red shirt and black skirt. There will be a new logo for the shirt, but there is no need to buy a new shirt until you are ready to replace the current shirt.

NOT QUITE FOR SURREY LEAGUE TEAM (Posted 25 Oct 2011)

The senior side played their first Surrey League match of the season, going down 13 - 27 to Wey Valley. The match report can be found here.

WANT TO BE AN UMPIRE? (Posted 23 Oct 2011)

Claire Tyler

We would love some of the year 10 group or year 11 group to get involved with umpiring. Umpiring can help with your game and, if you are good enough, you can get paid for umpiring games. If you are interested in umpiring, please talk to Elaine about the next Beginners' Course. Pictured is Claire Tyler, former Wales international, now European umpire.
